Our programs are a great way for your child to expand their
singing skills in a fun, relaxed environment..
Singing in the shower is all fun and games until you get shampoo in your mouth. Then it’s just a soap opera!
Fun is about being yourself, about smiling and making other people laugh. When people see us singing they know that we’re having fun!
The purpose of life is to experience wonderful emotions and to express ourselves. The only thing better than singing is more singing!
We have some fantastic holiday events coming up in December and January.
‘Be The Star’ is a 3 or 6 day performance workshop in Melville.
‘Sing a Song of Christmas’ is an opportunity to try a Choirs4kids class or simply enjoy singing Christmas songs with others.
aged 3 to 6
young children love to sing and play together in these relaxed, fun sessions. They learn to develop pitch, voice control and breathing techniques whilst also developing their inner ear.
aged 6 to 12
children have fun singing with friends in a relaxed environment whilst learning the key skills for singing in a choir- pitch, tone, and diction. We also develop performance techniques and encourage confidence on stage.
A Primary School music teacher for over twenty years, Sue has directed many school choirs and bands. She started Choirs4Kids after seeing her daughter’s delight when singing and realising that many children are either too young to join their school choir, or the school does not have a choir. Alongside running after school classes for Choirs4kids, Sue is also available for leading adult and children’s choirs and is currently leading the choir at Coogee Primary School along with her own VividVoices.
On a personal level Sue performs in local theatre groups and adult choirs.
She has a Working with Children Card, Teacher registration and National Police Clearance.
We absolutely love Sue and her singing classes! She is so patient and lovely with the kids. My daughter looks forward to her class every week! Love how the children are taught correct techniques to strengthen their skills, but the environment is kept as a fun relaxing one, no pressure! Highly recommend.Christie
My daughter loves Choirs4kids! She goes to Joeys class. Sue is a fantastic teacher and does fantastic fun things with the children during the lesson. Children learn to use their voices in fun way. End of each term kids do a little performance for their families. Can recommend it for any child who loves singing and dancing.Andrea
Wonderful group run by a very happy and professional Sue Ross. My 8 year old looks forward to it every week. Absolute pleasure being involved with Choirs4kids.Anon
My children both love Singing Joeys. What is great is that movement is given as much importance as song and the kids can join in at their own pace when they feel comfortable. It was such a delight to hear my kids singing the songs from Singing Joeys together one night just before they went to sleep….one of those beautiful moments.Pamela
