Our programs are a great way for your child to expand their
singing skills in a fun, relaxed environment..
Singing in the shower is all fun and games until you get shampoo in your mouth. Then it’s just a soap opera!
Fun is about being yourself, about smiling and making other people laugh. When people see us singing they know that we’re having fun!
aged approx 3 to 5
young children love to sing and play together in these relaxed, fun sessions. They learn to develop pitch, voice control and breathing techniques whilst also developing their inner ear.
aged approx 6 to 11
children have fun singing with friends in a relaxed environment whilst learning the key skills for singing in a choir- pitch, tone, and diction. We also develop performance techniques and encourage confidence on stage.
A Primary School music teacher for over twenty years, Sue has directed many school choirs and bands. She started Choirs4Kids after seeing her daughter’s delight when singing and realising that many children are either too young to join their school choir, or the school does not have a choir. Alongside running after school classes for Choirs4kids, Sue is also available for leading choirs and is currently working at Coogee Primary School and Piara Water Primary School.
On a personal level Sue performs in local theatre groups and adult choirs.
She has a Working with Children Card, Teacher registration and National Police Clearance.
We absolutely love Sue and her singing classes! She is so patient and lovely with the kids. My daughter looks forward to her class every week! Love how the children are taught correct techniques to strengthen their skills, but the environment is kept as a fun relaxing one, no pressure! Highly recommend.Christie
Once my kids have been to choir they just want to come home and sing more which I love how enthusiastic they are to music now . I can’t speak highly enough of Sue, she is a amazing teacher and all kids really connect with her.Vanessa
My 5yo daughter is really enjoying the classes. Sue engages so well with the children. Lots of fun and games amongst the singing and a great, relaxed atmosphere that encourages the children to join in and sing out loud.Lisa
My children both love Singing Joeys. What is great is that movement is given as much importance as song and the kids can join in at their own pace when they feel comfortable. It was such a delight to hear my kids singing the songs from Singing Joeys together one night just before they went to sleep….one of those beautiful moments.Pamela
